New Website Address
In an
effort to make our marketing efforts
more precise, we have decided to go with
a shorter website address starting in
November. The new website address will
be
www.ewgafcgb.org but our current
website address will continue to work
for the time being. However, if you
could take this opportunity to update
your favorites to reflect this address,
you won't miss out on anything going on
within the chapter! If you have ideas
on how we can further update and
streamline our communications to you,
please feel free to contact
Communications Chair Autumn Hill at
communications@ewga-foxcitiesgreenbay.org.

appetizers, and a keynote speaker at a great
price. If you haven’t been to one, ask another
member! You’ll find out how much fun we have at
this event. You won’t want to miss it!
CHRISTMAS GATHERING – Thursday, December

We’re hoping to put together a dinner theatre

register so I can determine the approximate size
of our group and make arrangements for tickets.
This is not a commitment, but I will need to get
a general idea before contacting the theatre
group!

This will give us an idea of numbers for these
events. Thanks! |

Nominations are
now being accepted for the EWGA’s 2009 Women Who
Lead Awards |
Nominations are now being
accepted for the 2009 Women Who Lead Awards and will
remain open through Thursday, September 10, 2009.
This year we will be using an online nomination form
utilizing the services of Zoomerang.
- The form is designed
to accept just one nomination per visit and you may
access this nomination form as many times as you
like in order to nominate everyone you would like
considered.
- All nominees will be
considered equally regardless of the number of
nominations they have received. Therefore,
nominating the same person multiple times is not
necessary or recommended.
- Leaders from U.S.
Chapters founded prior to January 1, 2008 and who
have met Chapter Minimum Standards and Chapter
Affiliation Agreement Deliverables are eligible to
win an award. (For your convenience a list of
Chapters founded after 1/1/08 are posted at the
bottom of this message)
- All U.S. EWGA
members are welcome to nominate leaders and may
nominate leaders from Chapters other than their own.
- Click on the
following link to access the Nomination Form:

The Women Who Lead
Awards Program was introduced in 2008 to recognize
outstanding performance and outstanding results
among EWGA Chapter volunteer leaders in 10 distinct
categories:
Overall Leadership – A President, Vice-President,
Secretary, Treasurer or Immediate Past President who
made a particular difference in the leadership and
direction of a Chapter
Spirit – A board member who is viewed as a positive
role model with a can-do attitude that made a
tangible difference in the Chapter
Change Agent – Any member of the board who took the
lead in making a needed and perhaps challenging
change in the operations/activities/direction of the
Chapter
Membership Growth – A Membership Chair or someone on
her Committee who implemented effective membership
retention and recruitment activities (including
Chapter Kickoff) resulting in overall Chapter growth
Sponsorship – A Sponsorship Chair or Committee
member who was successful in securing both cash and
in-kind sponsorships through an exceptional program
which included Sponsor satisfaction and renewals
Golf Education & Player Development – A GEPD Chair
or a member of her committee for delivering EWGA
Education programs for players of all skill levels
resulting in widespread participation
Golf Events – A Golf Events Chair or a committee
member who developed and delivered an event schedule
which accommodated all playing abilities and
resulted in widespread participation.
Golf Leagues – A League Chair or Committee member
for developing and delivering a full league calendar
that resulted in widespread participation. League
opportunities have met the needs of participants and
accommodated all playing abilities by offering a
variety of locations, course types, formats, days
and times, etc.
Making Connections – A Chapter member who best
aligned with and capitalized on golf industry
opportunities which made a difference in the
Chapter. This may include Play Golf America, Women’s
Golf Month, Take Your Daughter to the Golf Course,
LPGA / USGA Girls Golf, and other golf industry
initiatives.
Community Impact – An EWGA member who led an
activity (or activities) that made a difference in
the community and had a huge impact in increasing
the visibility of EWGA in her area. These efforts
helped “get the word out” about EWGA and might
include charity events, partnering with local
women’s groups, sponsor alliances, etc.
From nominations submitted by EWGA members,
finalists in each category are selected and then the
10 award winners are chosen. The award recipients
will be honored at the EWGA Conference, receive a
commemorative gift and be entered into a drawing to
win one of three playing spots for a private 18-hole
round of golf with LPGA Touring Pro, Beth Bader, at

Turn Unwanted
Clubs into Cash Donations in Support of the EWGA
Foundation’s Drive for Dreams |
|
The EWGA Foundation is
working with the PGA of America and its PGA Trade-In
Network to help us turn unwanted clubs into cash
donations based on their fair market trade-in
values. The EWGA is doing its part by having club
donation drop off receptacles at its 15 EWGA
Championship semi-final sites and at the
Championship Finals at which everyone is welcome to
contribute. To learn more about how to donate clubs
to the EWGA Foundation’s Drive for Dreams Campaign,

program overview and club donation criteria.
