“A REELIN’ GOOD TIME!”

20 EWGA members enjoyed a fun night of golf and “fishing,” at Mid Vallee Golf Course, Friday night July 27th! It was our chapters 2nd annual “Fishin’ FORE Fun” golf event. This “just for fun” golf scramble not only challenged the ladies golfing skills, but also their “fishing” skills – with many fishing themed contests on various holes throughout the round, including: putting with a paddle! Casting with a rod and reel to advance the distance of their team’s drive! Hitting closest to various targets such as life jackets and fishing nets, and much more fun! Following the round of golf everyone enjoyed fabulous conversation, laughter, and delicious fish dinners in the Mid Vallee clubhouse…plus a ton of great prizes were handed out! Thanks to everyone who joined the 2nd annual “Fishin’ FORE Fun!”

Badger Cup Results

SECOND PLACE AND A GREAT DAY!
On August 4, 2007 twelve of our members traveled to The Bull in Sheboygan Falls for the first annual Badger Cup for the state of Wisconsin. The event was organized to showcase golfers in each of the four WI EWGA Chapters. Fifty six golfers participa

ted in two-person teams. Golfers competed in a Solheim Cup-style format playing six holes as a scramble, six holes best ball, and six holes alternate shot.

Laura Henderson, Cheryl Wichman, Cyndee Sweetland, Lois DePouw, Jane Pamperin, Janet Koester, Diane Dushenski, Chari Olson, Karla McChesney, Karen Alesch, Dawn Jeffers, and Pam Fritz represented our Chapter.

The following comments were heard at the table as we celebrated our second place finish;
“I loved the format!”
“What a great way to meet people from other Chapters!”
“Make sure the date gets on the calendar early for next year!”

Upcoming Events

Miniature Golf and Driving Range
Wednesday September 12
Enjoy an evening of not-so-serious golfing. Bring your favorite club to practice on the driving range. There are grass tees, target greens, a putting green and sand bunkers for practice. Then, grab a colored golf ball and provided putter for some fun. The mini-course features ponds, streams and a stunning waterfall.. Don't miss it! After golfing, join the group for drinks and eats at the Stoneyard on JJ. Cash bar and menu orders. All costs are based on the activities that you participate in. Pay at the door.

Enjoy meeting and getting to know EWGA member professionals over a glass of wine at Appleton’s premier wine shop. Bring business cards and make a deal or two along the way. This event has a business networking focus, but there will be plenty of socializing tool. Cash bar
Members guests are also welcome. Space is limited to the first 20 registrations.

Refund Policy

There has been some confusion with the EWGA Fox Cities/Green Bay refund policy. So we have included below for your review.

Unless otherwise noted, refunds are given up to five days prior to the event. If you need to cancel, contact the event chair at least 5 days before the event date and the registration fee will be refunded, minus a 15% cancellation fee. If EWGA Fox Cities/Green Bay cancels the event, you will be notified and a full refund will be given.
