Update on 2006-2007 Officer Nominations
Thanks to all who submitted Officer Nomination Forms by the July 28th deadline. The Nominations Committee will be finalizing the slate of officer candidates (President, Vice President and Secretary) and based on our timetable, will be distributing to all active members via email candidate information and ballots on August 21st. Volunteer Opportunities Available - Just say "YES"!
Like all things in life you get back what you give...and as a volunteer organization our Chapter needs you! PLEASE say "YES" and GET INVOLVED by volunteering to serve (as a committee chair or member) on one of our nine chapter committees. No matter how much or little time you can give we will find just the right fit for you. Simply complete the "Interest Form" sent to you via email on July 31st by Leadership Committee Chair, Carolyn Grady and indicate what volunteer opportunities you want to take advantage of. Chapter Championship
WOW What a Day! Chapter Championship! Player's Choice Event!

On Saturday, July 15, 2006, 21 women braved the heat for a day of fun and competition. Seven of our members competed in our first ever Chapter Championship! Three people participated in the individual competition and 4 members hooked up to make a competitive scramble team. Everyone can advance to the Sectionals held at the Oak Marsh Country Club in Oakdale, Minnesota.

  • Julie Russell, First Flight, 1st Place Low Net
  • Karen Alesch, Sarah Shircel, Karla McChesney, Chari Olson, 1st Place Scramble

Fourteen additional members teamed up to play in the "Player's Choice" fun event. We put together 4 scramble teams, each chasing a little white ball into the hole. There were some great shots and some not so great shots by all. Three chip-ins were recorded during the event! What a great day!
"A REELIN' GOOD TIME!"
18 EWGA members enjoyed a fun night of golf and "fishing," at Mid Vallee Golf Course, Friday night July 28th! This "just for fun" golf scramble not only challenged the ladies golfing skills, but also their "fishing" skills - with many fishing themed contests on various holes through the round, including: putting with a paddle, casting with a rod and reel to advance the distance of their team's drive, hitting closest to various targets such as life jackets and fishing nets, fishing for 5's, and much more fun! Following the round of golf everyone enjoyed fabulous conversation, laughter, and delicious fish dinners in the clubhouse…plus a ton of great prizes were handed out! Thanks to everyone who joined the "fishing fun!"
Member Get a Member Program
Introducing a Member Get a Member program just for the members of the Fox Valley/Green Bay Chapter! Every member that refers a new member to EWGA between Monday, July 17th and Friday, Sept 15th will be entered in a drawing for a free membership at the Premier level! Simply tell the new member to put your name in the 'Member Get a Member' section of her application and you will be entered into our chapter drawing as well as the national Member Get a Member campaign for your chance to golf with legend Patty Sheehan. Entering couldn't be easier and we look forward to introducing your referrals to the game of golf and our EWGA chapter!
