Join us for the 2010 Fox Cities/Green Bay Chapter Championship where EWGA members of all skill levels have the opportunity to compete against other members who share the same playing ability.  Be a part of the largest, organized, women's amateur golf competition in the world!  The EWGA offers a time and place to put your game to the test.  Members of all skill levels, provided you have a USGA Handicap, are encouraged to compete.  Play individually or put a team of four together and play as a scramble team.  Whether you are a seasoned golfer or new to the game, the EWGA Championship provides a venue to experience competitive golf among friends and in the spirit of fun.

Individual or singles competition is flighted based on your handicap so you are playing other women of your skill level.  EWGA developed the tournament for ALL skill levels.  We are encouraging EVERYONE to play.  See the attached 2010 EWGA Championship Participation Information – Stroke Play for more details.

The scramble competition is played by a four women team whose combined handicap computation factor falls between +2 and -5.  See the attached 2010 EWGA Championship Participation Information – Scramble for details.  Only one member of the team can have a handicap index of 12.0 or less as of the final handicap revision date prior to the Chapter Championship.

If you are looking for a fun day to play golf with your EWGA friends, join us for the Non-Competitive Scramble.  This is run in conjunction with our Chapter Championship.  Put a foursome together or sign up and we will pair you with others who are out to enjoy the day with new friends.

Competitors - Deadline to register is Saturday July 1, 2010.  Send the official Registration Form (attached), entry fee and handicap card to Tracy Williams-Prince at PO Box 620, Kaukauna, WI 54130.

In order to compete, you must have an established USGA handicap index and have either two (2) 18-hole scores or four (4) 9-hole scores posted to your handicap record in 2010 (prior to June 29, 2010).  The handicap system will update on June 29th and establish your handicap for the tournament.  If you do not have a USGA handicap index established, you must post a minimum of five (5) 18-hole scores or ten (10) 9-hole scores prior to June 29, 2010.  Please note that scores can be from any round of golf you have played at any course.  Scores can include EWGA events, league play and any non-EWGA rounds played.

We have a unique opportunity this year because both Sectionals and Finals will be played right here in Wisconsin!  Take advantage of the reduced travel costs and let’s show EWGA the best that Wisconsin has to offer!

·                         Winners of this regional tournament will go on to play in the Sectionals tournament, which will be held in Janesville, WI on August 28, 2010.   Finals will be held in Lake Geneva, WI October 1st&2nd!

Put your teams together now!  Prizes, awards, and lunch will follow golf.  Any questions, please contact Pam Fritz @ 997-9682 home or 470-3318 cell, Tami Vosters @ 209-2015 or Tracy Williams-Prince @ 427-1600.

Non-competitors must sign up on-line by Saturday, July 10, 2010.  Register Today!.

Helpful tips on the New EWGA Handicap System - GN21

The EWGA's Handicap System - GN21 - is full speed ahead and many EWGA members are learning their way around the new system and taking advantage of this great member benefit.  In addition, many Chapter Handicap Chairs have been very helpful in getting information out to their Chapter members to answer some pending questions.
Your local Handicap Chair can be reached at handicap@ewga-foxcitiesgreenbay.org

We would like to update you on the more frequent FAQ's.  An additional resource can be found in the Resources area of the new Member Clubhouse, in the Golf! Learn Play Compete Library- Handicap Service document.

  • The home course that appears on your GN21 home profile page is the Chapter home course and can only be changed when a member of your Leadership Team sends that request to handicap@myewga.com. Your personal home course can be set on your course list by going to the ACCOUNT tab, and then scrolling down to "course and default tee box", search for your course and save.
  • The course list created by most of you had in the previous GLMS will be recreated as you post your rounds of golf to that course. They will then appear in the course drop down menu.
  • In the score entry area, you can report to GolfNet if your course's information i.e. slope, rating, etc. is missing or inaccurate. To do this, click on the "Report inaccurate course info" link directly underneath the ESC Chart. EWGA does not manage the information in GN21 and cannot make any changes. If you include your email address, they will send you an email confirming the correction.
  • To find courses not in your course list, please click on the Away Score: Course Finder button in the Score Entry area.
  • Remember to post your rounds as you play them, especially with the Championship in full swing, you want to have the most current index when competing.

Always consult your Chapter Handicap Chair with general handicap questions.  However, for login issues or technical questions, please send an email to handicap@myewga.com for assistance.
