lovely and people are lookng for more excuses to
golf. Well, your friendly local chapter of EWGA has
those for you members! All skill levels are invited
to come out and golf with other members at various
area courses. Just sign up online through Eventbrite
so we know you are coming and pay the green/cart
fees when you arrive. It's that simple! Play just 9
or stay for 18 and get your handicap established for
our chapter championship.

Now that our EWGA leagues are out on
the golf courses, you’ve gotta love
Babe Didrikson Zaharias’
observation, “Golf is a game of
coordination, rhythm and grace;
women have these to a high degree.”
And being women, we also like to
talk, so this month is the time to
talk golf. Did you know that June is
American Express Women’s Golf Month?

As you think about women on the golf
course here is the good news and bad
news from the world of statistics.
First the bad: According to the
recent National Golf Foundation
report, the number of women golfers
remains flat at 23% of total
golfers, but in 2008 women played
only 15% of all rounds in the United
States, continuing a downward trend
for women.
Now for the good: Girls ages 6-17
are playing more rounds than boys.
The average rounds a year for girls
is 13 compared to 10 for boys. Go
girls!
As you spread the word and encourage
more women and girls to golf, be
prepared. The next Tiger on the
course may be a Tigress! |

Refund Policy |

Unless otherwise noted, refunds are given up to five days prior to the event. If you need to cancel, contact the event chair at least 5 days before the event date and the registration fee will be refunded, minus a 15% cancellation fee. If EWGA Fox Cities/Green Bay cancels the event, you will be notified and a full refund will be given. |
