Maplewood Middle School, Menasha - 6:30pm - 8:00pm
Learn to use the free online Handicap service. This is a hands on demonstration and all attendees will have a computer to work at. Items to bring with you: Score cards if you have any to post (if not, we will have a few sample cards to work with) EWGA member ID# and password (if you are unsure, we can help you that night.)

For those of you new to EWGA, or those of you long time members who want a refresher on all the things offered by your chapter, here's your chance to here the who, what, where's and why's while enjoying some food and networking.

At 5:30pm, we will start our presentation, which will tell you about EWGA's national start, current Chapter standings, and upcoming events including golf education and leagues, social events, business networking events and much more.

Feel free to bring a guest that also may be interested in learning more about EWGA. Please contact Lisa Werner by email or phone (920-915-2522) to RSVP by Thursday, June 1st.

Spring Kickoff - Wrap Up

If you did not attend the Spring Kickoff for our chapter at the Green Bay Country Club in April you really missed a huge event. The facility is gorgeous and food and wine was plentiful. Attendees were given an overview of Chapter accomplishments by our President Karen Alesch and an opportunity to sign up for terrific door prizes from our great sponsors.

More importantly our speaker, Marti Spittell Ziegelbauer presented a thought provoking message about female health and the importance of regular diagnostic check-ups. All women regardless of age or sexual activity should have annual office visits with their doctor.

Some female reproductive diseases can remain dormant or go undetected in regular examination. It is important to ask your doctor about cervical cancers and other female issues. Take charge of your body, for your sake and your family. For more information visit www.freepapsmear.org.

Diagnosed with a late stage form of Reproductive Cancer in 1998 Marti had radical surgery (twice) at the Mayo Clinic, in Rochester, Minnesota. She is now dedicated to educating women about their reproductive health, and finding quality medical care for women of all backgrounds and will speak to these issues at the event. Her story is inspiring and educational and we were so pleased to have her share her experiences with us.

Fashion was also a focus at the Kickoff. Nike apparel and merchandise were displayed in a fashion show that evening. Members of the chapter were models on our runway showing off the new season fashion and merchandise. Our attendees also were given a 25% discount for anything purchased at the show. EWGA members are sure to be the best dressed on the course this year.

We held a silent auction with a portion of the proceeds going to two important charities. We were able to support LPGA/Girls Golf Program with a $300.00 donation, as well as the Marti Spittell Ziegelbauer Foundation with a $500.00 donation thanks to the kind donations of local businesses and the support of EWGA members and their guests in attendance. We are so pleased to support these great organizations.

Business to Business Networking - Wrap Up

EWGA Fox Cities/ Green Bay was proud to present it's first business to business networking event at the Main Event in Little Chute in May. Business representatives from product and services industries attended to show off the product lines and network with women looking for their services. Each business was given the chance to offer an overview of their product or service and drawings were held for prizes throughout the evening.

Chapter Championship and Mock Championship

Mock Championship - June 24
Mid Vallee Golf Course
Do you want to be sure you are ready for the Chapter Championship? This will give you a chance to play the course and go over the rules for the Championship. We will validate that your handicap and registration information for submission for the Championship.
Rules Meeting at 9:00am * First tee time at approximately 10:30am
Greens and cart fees to be paid at the course.

Chapter Championship - July 15 (Rain date July 16)
Mid Valley Golf Course
Compete in the largest amateur tournament in the USA! Your first round will be played right here at one of our host courses, Mid Vallee Golf Course. You will be competing against members of our chapter (EWGA Fox Cities-Green Bay). Your chances of winning are GREAT! You will compete against other members of your ability, in your flight so it will be fair and fun! All EWGA Chapter members are WELCOME. Play individually or put together a SCRAMBLE team of 4 members.

The "Players Choice" golf event is an opportunity to share in the fun of the Chapter Championship. Members play golf, as individuals or as scramble teams for fun. After golf, enjoy a lunch, Chapter Championship award presentation, and a chance to win prizes!
