EWGA ‘Women Who Lead’ Award Winners Announced
The EWGA (Executive Women’s Golf Association) has announced the winners of the first annual ‘Women Who Lead’ Awards, recognizing outstanding achievement of EWGA chapter volunteer leaders. The 10 winners were honored during the 2009 EWGA “Dare to Lead, Dare to Grow” Conference at the JW Marriott Resort & Spa in Palm Desert, California on February 18 -21. The EWGA chapter in which each winner belongs will receive a $1000 check from the association.

EWGA-Fox Cities/Green Bay warmly congratulates Karen Alesch, VP, Business Operations & Client Services, InnerWorkings, from Sherwood on her award for Overall Leadership. Karen is a founding member of our chapter and it’s great that her talent and efforts are being recognized on a national scale. Way to go, Karen!

Finalists in the competition also included our own Lisa Werner, Chapter President and Financial Advisor at MassMutual Group, and Dawn Jeffers, Publisher, Raven Tree Press. Lisa was a finalist for the Change Agent award and Dawn for the Sponsorship award. Again, a hearty congratulations for the many accomplishments that led to their recognition as finalists!

Introduced in 2008, the EWGA ‘Women Who Lead’ Awards are designed to recognize outstanding performance and outstanding results among EWGA chapter volunteer leaders in 10 distinct categories. From 268 nominations, finalists were selected from each of the association’s 12 geographic sections followed by the naming of the ten winners.
