  • March 23rd - Hands-On Training Session for the online EWGA Handicap Service - Maplewood Middle School - 6:30pm - 8:00pm

Whether you are an advanced golfer who wants to track Handicap for tournaments, or a new golfer who is just getting into the game - -having a Handicap can help you monitor your own progress throughout the year and throughout your lifetime. We encourage all of our members to get started with the Handicap system.  This is a hands on demonstration, and all attendees will have a computer to work at.  Items to bring with you: Score cards if you have any to post (if not, we will have a few sample cards to work with) EWGA member ID# and password (if you are unsure, we can help you that night.)  Read more details.   Register Online!

Bunco Party...Mardi Gras Style Wrap Up
EWGA members celebrated Fat Tuesday with boas, beads and Bunco at the Main Event in Little Chute. Very few in attendance had ever played the dice game before, but following a few simple instructions from the ever patient and amusing Master of Ceremonies, Diane Dushenski, the group was rolling dice and tallying their points. The coveted Bunko Crown, was proudly earned with each toss of a Bunko, only to be quickly snatched away by the next lucky roller. Soon, the ringing of the bell to announce the beginning and end of each round, was barely audible over the laughter and unending chatter. A humorous note about the bell, ours sounded just like the one the cook used to sound "Order up!" so we sure had that wait staff running! Members and guests grazed on hors deuvres throughout the night, followed by a Mardi Gras Cake. Door prizes were awarded between rounds, and prizes were given out again after the final scores were tallied. The night will long be captured in our memories, but more incriminatingly, in the group pictures taken at the end of play. Perhaps you can identify your fellow members hidden behind the masks.

Member FYI on Golf for Women Magazine Renewal Notices
You may receive a renewal notice for your Golf for Women (GFW) subscription if you are due to renew your EWGA membership this month. You can just ignore this notice from GFW. As always, the subscription is included with your EWGA membership, however the company that produces GFW wants to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to renew their subscription – in case some decide not to renew with EWGA. It’s a little confusing, but unavoidable – so we wanted to make you are aware of this.

Membership Directory Access
Every wonder who else is a member of EWGA Fox Cities/Green Bay?  Or perhaps you are traveling and would like to find an EWGA member to play golf with.  Well, you can do both of those things at www.ewga.com.  Here's how you do it.
  • Step One: Go to www.ewga.com
  • Step Two: Click on "Members Only Login" (upper left)
  • Step Three: Log In
    • To log in you will need your member ID number and password.  The default password everyone is assigned is your ID number followed by your first name.  For example if your ID number is 12345 and your first name is Tina, then your password is 12345tina.  If you do not know your ID number contact Lisa Werner.
  • Step Four: Click "Membership Reports", then "Chapter Roasters", then "Chapter Membership Directory".

There is also an advanced search that allows you to search the entire EWGA membership (all 18,000+ members). Select the "Membership Director" link in the top left area of the screen. This takes you to the advanced search where you can put in any information you want to search on: state, or company name, or last name, etc.

If you have any problems, please contact Lisa Werner.  This is a member benefit and we hope you will use it.

TDS Players Choice - Indoor Golf Range
Are you looking for a way to keep up your golf game this winter?  TDS Players Choice has an indoor golf range that is being made available to EWGA members on select Saturday mornings from 7am to 10am starting now and going into the spring.  Take advantage of this simply by visiting TDS Players Choice at W3035 County Road JJ.  You can use your own set of golf clubs and get unlimited balls.  Simply identify yourself as an EWGA member and hit unlimited golf balls for $7.50 for the first half hour, $3.75 every 15 minutes thereafter.  This can be a great way for you to keep up your driving as well as a good excuse to get together with gals from your past league, so we hope to see you out there!
