Kickoff the golf season with a bang! Join EWGA for a presentation by Dirk Willis, PGA head professional at Whistling Straits. He will give us a behind the scenes look at planning major PGA events and will offer his look at trends in women's golf in America. We will also discuss golf leagues, clinics and competitive events planned for the 2007 golf season. Wine, appetizers, silent auction and door prizes will also be provided. We

Models Needed

Talbots will be sponsoring our fashion show for the Spring Kickoff. We need 7 members to volunteer to model at the event. Models will have a personal fitting at the store and will get a discount for the clothes they model. The first seven members responding will be in. Please email socialevents@ewga-foxcities.com

Golf Clinics Announced

EWGA Skills Challenge - The goal of the EWGA Skills Challenge is to provide golfers of all levels with a fun way to improve their short games and ultimately improve their scores on the golf course. It provides a structured, numerical way to represent a student's short game skills and to identify key areas for improvement.
Getting Started Program for New Golfers - "Getting Started" is aimed at non-golfers (no golf experience), new golfers (very little golf experience), and golfers returning to the game after a substantial absence.
"Breaking 100" is focused on the group of golfers who are trying to score below 100 on a regular basis.
How Low Can You Go is focused on the group of golfers who can break 100 and now are striving to score better than bogey on a regular basis.

Business Killers Seminar Recap

On a very cold Wed night in February, EWGA friends enjoyed a glass of wine and a warm fire at Riverview Country Club. Lisa Werner from Mass Mutual talked with the group on the six mistakes small business owners make that end up ending their business or causing financial difficulties for themselves or their families through video vignette examples. Solutions for how to avoid these issues were given and included planning tools such as Buy/Sell agreements, Succession planning, Living Wills, Life Insurance, and Retirement Planning.

As attendees came to realize, the real solution to continuing a successful business and ensuring your financial independence is to plan ahead. Make sure you are working with financial advisors (attorneys, accountants, advisors) you trust before issues arise!

Swing Solutions

On Saturday, March 3, 2007 from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. or 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m., Swing Solutions will be hosting the first ever Spring Training event at The Players Choice in Appleton. This event is your chance to train with the pros! Spring Training is an intensive golf clinic designed to improve any player’s game-whether experienced or beginner. The instructors will address all areas that influence performance through quality instruction and guidance from experienced professionals. Refund Policy

There has been some confusion with the EWGA Fox Cities/Green Bay refund policy. So we have included below for your review.

Unless otherwise noted, refunds are given up to five days prior to the event. If you need to cancel, contact the event chair at least 5 days before the event date and the registration fee will be refunded, minus a 15% cancellation fee. If EWGA Fox Cities/Green Bay cancels the event, you will be notified and a full refund will be given.
