BUSINESS BYTES & WINE DELIGHTS - RECAP
When you think Callaway you think premier golf equipment, right? But did you know that they are also known for their wine? Over 70 members and guests attended the Business Bytes and Wine Delights event on Thursday, November 10, at the SC Grand.  Pat Vieau, Sales Manager for General Beverage, offered pointers on selecting wines, while everyone was taste testing.  The wines were complemented will delectable appetizers in a elegant candlelit setting.

The evening also included an interesting presentation from Dr Jodi Pelegrin, Family Practice and Sports Medicine physician at Aurora Health Care. Dr. Pelegrin shared her thoughts on pre-season conditioning in an easy to use four-point strategy.
  • Diagnose and rehabilitate injuries in the pre-season
    • Back, shoulders, knees, wrists and elbows are most common
  • Physical Conditioning
    • Aerobics, Stretching, Strengthening, Balance, and Power work
  • Improve Mechanics
    • Swing speed and power
  • Mental Conditioning
    • Relax, Concentrate, Prioritize motivation for playing golf, Enjoy the game

Aurora Health Care offers a golf conditioning program called Whole in One. For details on the program visit their website at www.frappieracceleration.com.

Our Chapter was then highlighted in presentations from Kristen Ujazdowski, outgoing President and her successor Karen Alesch. On behalf of our organization plaques were awarded to Mid-Vallee Golf Course and Winagamie Golf Course for being our inaugural host golf courses.  Also recognized were the winners of our three golf leagues and hole-in-one winners.

Kristen concluded her comments by formally passing the baton to Karen Alesch, the 2nd President of this newly organized Chapter.
